BIBLE CLASSES
CAMP NEARS ITS END. NEW ZEALAND ANGLICANS. THE LATEST ACTIVITIES. The 20th annual camp of the New Zealand. Anglican Bible Class at Ashburton is nearing its end. The campers will leave Ashburton early on Saturday morning for their homes. The final of the doubles in the tennis tournament, which was played this morning, was won by B. Boyes and L. A. Mills. The North v. South Island tennis match resulted in a win for the South by 10 sets (94 games) to two sets (60 games). The Selwyn Senior Cup for swimming was won by St. Albans (Christchurch), 22 points, St. Phillips (Beckenham), 17 points, were second, and St. Julius (Woolston), 8 points, were third. The junior competition for the Julius Cup resulted: Carterton, 19 points, 1; St. Phillips (Beckenham), 12 points, 2; Eastbourne, 11 points, 3. The championships were won as .follow: Senior, K. Hall (St. Albans), 22,points, 1; J. Couling (Beckenham), 17 points, 2. Junior: B. Desmond (Carterton), 19 points, 1; A. Couling (Beckenham) and G. Logie (Eastbourne), each 10 points, equal 2.
The athletic championships will he decided late this afternoon with a crosscountry run. A North v. South Island cricket match was played on the Domain Oval to-day. A camp dance will be held this evening. To-morrow afternoon will be free, while in the evening the Rev. H. Ault will show moving pictures. A camp concert will also be held to-morrow evening, and the Rev. W. S. Southward will be installed as president. Trophies will be presented.
