ATTACKS ON BRITAIN.

SUB-STRATOSPHERE FLYING.

ENEMY MOVE INDICATED

LONDON, November 15

Sub-stratosphere flying will be the next move of the German Air Force in its attacks on Britain predicts the aviation correspondent of the “Manchester Guardian.”

Recent German air operations, he says, indicate that the Germans intend to employ an increasingly largo number of aeroplanes flying at tremendous heights. “This new phase follows the defeat of mass bomber attacks, sporadic attacks, escorted attacks, and bomberfightcr attacks,” adds the correspondent.

“It lias not taken the Royal Air Force by surprise, because it was known before the war that Germany was extensively experimenting in sub-strato-sphere flying, the development of which was achieved under the cloak of commercial aviation.

“While Germany was experimenting, Britain did not. lag behind and, as a result, highly important developments of aero engine and wing design have greatly t advanced British sub-strato-sphere flying.”
