WOMEN’S DIVISION.
THE LISMORE BRANCH. The monthly meeting of the Lismore branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held in the school, Mrs Ashton presiding over a small attendance.
Members stood in silence as a mark of respect to the late Dr. G. 1. Miller. Final arrangements were made for the children’s tea. to be held on December 19, when the annual break-up takes place. A sales table will also be held on that date in aid of patriotic funds.
Competitions resulted as follow: Bloom, Miss Feron 1, Mrs Sparrow 2, Mrs Feron 3; shrub, Mrs Sparrow 1, Mrs Ashton 2; vegetable, Mrs Sparrow 1, Miss Feron 2, Mrs Feron 3; floating bowl of pansies, Mrs Ashton 1, Mrs Addis 2, Miss Feron 3: lemon honey, Mrs Sparrow 1, Mrs Addis 2, Mrs* Ashton 3; girdle scones, Mrs Ashton 1.
