FEILDING JOCKEY CLUB.

AUTOS WEEP SUCCESSFUL

The Feilding Jockey Club’s meeting was concluded in fine but dull weather. The track was fast and there was a good attendance. The totalisator handled £15,950 (£14,284 last year), and for the meeting the total was £38,392 (£34,334 10s). Grindlay, rider of Advance Plane in the hurdles, was thrown and sustained fractured ribs. He was sent to hospital. Concluding results: —

Oroua Nursery Handicap, of £130; five furlongs—l Premature, 9.0 (Morris) 1, 4 Greenock, 7.0 2,2 Fleche d’Or, 7.6 3. Won by three lengths; two lengths second and third. Time, 1.1 2-5. Colyton Handicap, of £175; six furlongs—l Wings of Song, 7.8 (Redstone) 1, 3 Rakahanga, 8.7 2, 4 Black Robe, 7.6 3. Won by half a length each way. Time, 1.13 1-5.

Rongotea Hack Handicap, of £200; one mile and a-quarter—s Autosweep, 8.4 (Broughton) 1, 3 Laughing Song, 8.4 2,2 Chief Lord, 9.2 3. Won by half a length; two lengths second and third. Time, 2.9 2-5. Empire Handicap, of £150; seven furlongs—l Tuatara, 7.10 (Mudford) 1, 2 Harina, 9.2 2‘, 5 Corroboree, 7.7 3. Won by a neck each way. Time, 1.26 3-5.
