YOUNG MAN DROWNED (Special to the “ Guardian.”) GREYMOUTH, December 1. ; Cyril Kenneth Partridge, aged 19, a single man, living at 66 Marlborough street,’ Greymouth, was drowned while bathing at Flaherty’s pool near Paroa this -afternoon. DEATH FROM INJURIES (Per Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, This Day ; Mr Patrick Joseph Noonan, aged 74, of 500 St: Asaph street, who was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital on Thursday evening suffering from concussion, died last evening. He had. been knocked off liis bicycle by a inotor-car at the corner of Tuam street and Nursery road. ■THROWN FROM MOTORCYCLE (Per Press Association). TIMARU, This Day. Flung 45 feet when the motor cycle on which he was a pillion rider crashed into a pole at Pleasant Point on Saturday night, Peter James Murray, single, aged 20 ,suffered injuries to his head from which he later died in the Timaru Hospital. Murray, a labourer, was the son of Mr Peter Murray, of Southburn. Francis E. Campbell, driver of the cycle, had a remarkable escape, suffering only abrasions and shock.

Myers, of 165 North Avon road, died yesterday morning in the Public Hospital. She was found lying in shallow surf by two women, and artificial respiration was applied by schoolboys who had had an examination in first-aid the day before.
