GARDEN PARTY.
SPRINGBURN LADIES’ GUILD. The humid conditions on Saturday caused the annual garden party of the Springburn Presbyterian Ladies’ Guild to be held in, the Staveley Hall instead of at Mrs C. Urquhart’s property as arranged. Despite this, every stall was cleared, and the gross takings amounted to £4O. The stallholders were:—Cakes: Mesdames Biddick and Urquhart. Produce: Mesdames S. Goldsmith and E. Burgess. Needlework: Mesdames Glow and Bansgrove. Fruit salad: Miss R. Urquhart. Ice cream: Miss M. Taylor. Afternoon tea: Mesdames Aldridge, Grieve, West and Scott.
