THE LIST ,0F PASSENGERS

(Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, Decern l>er 1. A!n, announcement to-night stated that no further information was available about the ' Holmwood, which is four days overdue on the voyage from the Chatham Islands to Lyttelton. Searches made so far had been without result.

Tlie following list of passengers has been received by radio from the Cliathams : Mr and Mrs D. McMahon and two children. Mr and Mrs R.. C. Idiens and two children. Mr and Mrs D. James and one child. Miss Clara Hough. Mr McMahon has been radio superintendent and postmaster at Waitangi for about four years, and was on transfer back to the mainland. Mr Idiens is a Christchurch man who has been in business as a builder and contractor at the islands for many years. Mr Janies has been working on a sheep station at Kningaroa. Miss Hough is an islander.

The Holmwood shipped the following cargo at the Chathams: 1375 sheep, 77 bales wool, one horse, several tons of general cargo and mails. Mr H. F. Lecren (Christchurch) is Second Engineer and Mr G. R. Clayton (Dunedin), Third Engineer. The crew are: —J. A. Lumberg (Weilingtin), cook; M. N. McMillan (Wellington), steward 1 ; J. Ellison (Wellington), P. J. Stiles (Lyttelton), E. Johnson (Wanganui), D. McLeod (Lyttelton), T. L. Longun (Wellington), able seamen ; S. C. Waterhouse (Christchurch), D. Cornish (Greymouth), J. Finnerty (Lyttelton), T. Allen (Wellington)f firemen.
