ALLIED BOMBERS ACTIVE. (Received This Day, 2.20 a.m.) LONDON, December 1. British' antbtank gnus are used by the Greeks arid were, most successful. The coastal sector of Mussolini's invasion road is strewn with -tanks and overturned lorries and uniformed bodies lying in ditches awaiting burial. Many Italians .surrendered in the Epirus region in the last few days. More munition dumps have been captured and prisoners are made to transport the material to the rear.
Allied bombers harass the Italian reinforcements from the mainland. Fighters are also* flying in the valleys only a: few hundred feet over the heads of the struggling Italian forces, smashing bridges, supply columns and bases. Greek warships shelled IStranda. An escort of planes circled, overhead but was not needed. Neither Italian planes nor warships were seen. The Italian Air Force continues its raids on Corfu. N Medical supplies are being sent by plane. Foreign women are helping in the hospitals throughout Greece. The Australian Government is sending blankets and raw wool for Army eqqipment.
