LANTERN LECTURE.
MISSIONS IN INO.A. An interesting lecture was delivered by Mr D. B. Burt last evening in the Gospel Hall. His subject was the triumphs of the (Gospel among the Telugus of tine. Godavari (Delta in South India. It was among these people that the Brethren missionaries have been working for just over 100' years, the speaker said. The lantern slides showed thousands of converts, and native Christians active in> preaching to their own: people. Onei picture, indeed, showed a. converted Brahmin and a converted outcaste together, haying fellowship in the preaching of the Gospel, the speaker emphasising that there is no other power in. the world but the Gospel, today, that could bring these two communities together. Travelling with Mr Burt is Mr David Howell, a missionary from the Belgian Congo, South Africa.. Mr Howell vail give gn address in the same .hall this evening.
