LODGE MEETING.

THE ASHBURTON DRUIDS. The half-yearly meeting of the Star of Ashburton, U.A.0.D., was held 1 last evening the A.D. (Bro. E. E. Beach) presiding. A motion of sympathy with the widow of the late Bro. James Nicoll was carried in the usual manner. The Bards reported on visits to sick members and pay was passed in favour of 11.

The District President (Sister A. Ha-wkes notified that nominations for the position of district president for No. 8 District were required. Bro. AO. Vincent, P.A., was nominated by the lodge. Invitations to attend the installation of officers were received from the Lily of Temuka. Lodge for December 3, and Success of Ashburton Lodge for December 2. These wore accepted and it was decided to invite these lodges to attend the instalation of officers for the Star of Ashburton Lodge on December c>
