Most of a small number of enemy aircraft which crossed tho south and south-east coasts of Britain to-day wore promptly shot down. As against two German bombers and two fighterbombers destroyed the Royal Air Force suffered no loss.
The official communique states that a bomb was dropped in a coastal town of Sussex, doing some damage to buildings and causing a few slight casualties.
At a coast town of Kent the enemy delivered a short burst of machine-gun fire, which caused no casualties and very little damage.—British Official Wireless.
