TWENTV-FIVE YEARS ACO. (From the “Guardian,” Nov. >27, 1915) Belgian Relief Fund.—A meeting of the Belgium Relief Committee was held this afternoon, Mr H.. F. Nicoll presiding. The chairman reported that the credit at the bank was £IQSI 3s 6d. They had paid all the local bodies’ contributions up to tlio end of September, amounting to £l2O 11s 6d. If they paid up the local bodies’ contributions to the end of the year, it would leave a balance of £940 to credit. It was decided' to forward a cheque of £9OO to the relief of the Belgians. In answer to a question the chairman stated Ashburton County had forwarded about £IB,OOO to the Belgian' Relief Funds.
