RAILWAY BLOCKED.
DERAILMENT OF GOODS TRAIN.
MAIN TRUNK EXPRESS DIVERTED " (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, November 24. - The derailment of a goods train seven miles south of Ohakune, about 8.30 p.m. ; on Saturday, blocked the Main Trunk railway, arid the express from Auckland, which was due at Wellington at 7 a.m. to-day, did. not arrive unti 12.33 p.rn. To avoid the impassable section of the line in the middle of'the island, the-express left tho Main Trunk at Taumafunui, and, using the Main Trunk-Stratford line, camo to Wellington via Taranaki. •I Several waggons attached to a northbound freight train left the rails. It is understood fhat the derailment was not serious. The locomotive was not derailed and no members of the train crew were injured. No information is available about the cause of the accident.
‘The Auckland-Wellington express was -the only important train affected. The line was cleared in time for nor-«ml-running to* be resumed to-night.
