FOREIGN SUPPLIES WANTED.

The United States War Department has opened the way for larger imports of wool by the suspension of the requirement that only domestic tvool shall be used in military: orders., for clothing and blankets. ' The department said that the: domestic wool supply was unable to. meet tho abnormally large requirements cf the defence programme in all grades of wool for military equipment, and consequently the Quartermaster-Gen-eral was authorised to accept bids for material . manufactured entirely of foreign wool or mixed foreign and domestic tvool s.
