ALL GOVERNMENT SECURITIES.
INCREASED NATIONAL DEBT

WASHINGTON, November 7
The Secretary to the Treasury (Mr Henry Morgenthau) jun.) announced that the Treasury will soon ask Congress to permit the taxation of future issues of all classes of Government securities, and will also seek elevation oi the statutory limit of the National Debt from 45 billion dollars to 60 or 75 billion. Mr Morgenthau added that the debt at June 30 next might aggregate 65 billion. He declined to estimate Governmental expenditures during the next four years, but said “AA e have only just begun to rearm.”
ITALIAN COMMUNIQUE, REPULSE OF ATTACK REPORTED (Received This Day, 12.5 p.m). LONDON, November 7. An Italian communioue claims that Italians crossed the Kalamas River. The- Air Force bombed a number of Greek towns. Thi? Italians repulsed an enemy attack against- Gallabat, whien returned the attack. The action is 'continuing. >
