LODGE MEETINGS.
LOYAL ASHBURTON, M.UJ.0.0.F.
There was a good attendance at the fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Ashburton Lodge, M.UJ.0.0.F., last evening, when the I.P.N.G. (Sister G. Waters) presided. Sick pay amounting to £23 los was passed in favour of 19 members. Two candidates were elected.
The assista’nt-Lecture Master (P.G. Bro. W. K. Waters) conferred the Gold Degree on one member. P.G. Bro. J. S. Donaldson gave an interesting address on the emblems of tho Order.
It was decided to hold a Christmas gathering for the children of members.
ASHBURTON JUVENILE FORESTERS.
The Court Pride of Ashburton Juvenile Foresters met this week, the C.R. (Bro. W. Tonks) presiding over a large attendance. ( .
It was announced that the, district executive would pay its annual visit next Court night. Two members were transferred t-q the adult Court.
Many items were given in the social competition, and the judge (Bro. G. D. H. Hefford) awarded Bro. P. Tait first prize, Bro. P. Johnson second and Bro. lv. E. Reynolds third. After the close of the Court supper was provided by the Management Committee.
