GREAT BRITAIN’S POWER.
There is no Power in the world hut Great Britain which could face with composure the odds that seem to he against her when she takes up with pride the task which falls to her of defending almost single-handed the cause of liberty and justice the world over, writes Mr J. A. Spender. But her combination of air power, sea power and great army, and the numerous bases for operations and for supply and reinforcement provided by her Dominions, give her a unique equipment for this task. As her power develops, and it is as yet far from its highest point, she will find new opportunities for the offensive against both Germany and Italy, and ho prepared for the diversions which the enemy is likely to try in proportion as lie is headed off from Britain.
