DR. G. I. MILLER.

The news of the death of Dr. G. I. Miller will be received with deep regret not only in the Borough but also throughout the whole County. That regret will be intensified by the fact that apparent improvement in Ins health had raised hopes that ho was on the road to recovery after his long illness. Dr. Miller owes his place in the public esteem to his cheery personality, which remained proof even against illhealth. The associates he made at school remained loyal and as the years passed so the circle of his warm friends increased. As a\ professional man ho achieved success that won him a name throughout the County. Df. Millei s record of service on public bodies is a brief one, but the energetic,- capable manner in which he discharged his duties as Mayor won him high place among local administrators. The last three years have been a period of advancement in Borough affairs equal to any in the long history of the town. The burgesses will regret the removal of a man who made such a notable advance in civic matters and gave promise oi continuing beneficial activities. The predominant feeling throughout the district, however, will be a sense of the loss of an engaging personality whose friendly greeting and cheerful conversation acted as a tonic. May the realisation that their sorrow is shared be some consolation to those who are bereaved.
