CHINESE FINED £2OO. (Per Press Association). AUCKLAND, November 6. Arrested last niglit as lie was coming through the wharf gates, Tan Han Fong, aged 35, a cabin boy on a largo liner now in port, was fined £2OO by the Magistrate (Mr C. B. Orr Walker) at the Magistrate’s Court to-day for importing to New Zealand a quantity of prepared opium. Tan pleaded guilty'. The police said that a search revealed that accused had four slb tins and 11 20/, tins of opium strapped with rubber hands round his body and logs.
