WOMEN’S DIVISION.

THE LYNNFORD BRANCH.

There was a good attendance at the monthly meeting of the Lynnford branch, of the Women’s division of the Farmers' Union. A demonstration on cake-icing was given by Mrs It. Tagg, of Geraldine. It Avas decided to hold the next meeting on November 30, in the form of a picnic at the Lynnford crossing. The competition results were: Seniors—Bloom, Msedames Beavan 1, Chambers 2, and L. Noble 3; lettuce, Mrs L. Noble 1, Miss M. Davison 2, Mrs Hume 3; pikelets, Mrs L. Noble 1, Mrs Beavan 2, Mrs L. Moore 3. Juniors Bloom, Misses M. Mclntosh 1, J. Davidson 2; lettuce, Miss J. Davison 1. Mesdames Bishop and Mclntosh were hostesses.

ALFORD FOREST. Tire Alford Forest branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union celebrated its second birthday by holding an afternoon social. There was a good attendance of members, friends, and visiting members from the Metlivcn and Staveley Women’s Institutes. Mrs Maclean presided. Results of competitions wore as follows:—Bloom, Mi's A. The monthly meeting of the Anama branch of the Women’s Division of. the Farmers’ Union was presided over by Mrs It. Hewson. The roll-call was* “A washing-day dinner.” For a social afternoon, members related some escapades of their youth, which caused much amusement. The hostesses were Misses M. McKenzie, L.
