ENGINE NOT TO BE MOVED. INSPECTION BY COMMISSION. (Per Press Association). AUCKLAND, October 31. Pending the appointment by the Government of a commission of inquiry into, the railway accident at Mercer last Monday, which resulted in the death of the driver and fireman on the north-bound Limited Express, tlio derailed locomotive will not be replaced on the line. It is understood that, as part of the inquiry, the engine will be inspected by the commission in the position where it came to rest after leaving the lines. Through ’traffic is proceeding normally, a temporary line having been built round the scene of the accident.
