BIRTH-RATE STAYS EVEN. DEATHS SHOW DECREASE. . The: fact that births in October over the’last three years have remained at almost the same level, is shown in the vital statistics for the Ashburton district issued to-day. The deaths show a steady decrease for the three months, while marriages this year weire the sarnie as in October of last year.
