A GREAT FEAT

INTERLOCKED PLANES LANDED.

ONE PILOT TAKES CHARGE.

UNIQUE IN AVIATION

(United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 1 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day.

A Royal Australian Air Force pilot made a successful landing near Cowra with his plane jammed on top of ailother R.A.A.F. plane. Air Force officers cannot recall such a feat in the history of aviation. The planes had collided in mid-air 1000 feet up and became locked firmly together. The pilot and observer of the bottom slane and the observer of the top plane baled out and descended safely by parachute.

The pilot who eventually landed the two planes still locked together jumped free of the cockpit of the top plane after gliding to a landing.
