SYSTEM OF LABELLING
(Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, plus Day. The Food Controller (Mr Picot) states that as a result of negotiations with the Master Butchers’ Association, arrangements are being made to ticket all frozen meat as such. It is not a sigh of inferior quality, but will enable the public to know what they are buying. The frozen aneat that is released cannot be surpassed, as it is of export quality. It is anticipated that after the end of October greater supplies of freshkilled meat will be available, and it will not be necessary to call on the freezing works stocks.
