RESOLUTION HIT.
A FRENCH TORPEDO. ANOTHER SHIP SHELLED. (United Press Association —Copyright.) (Received This Day, 2.45 p.m.) VICHY, September 26. It is officially announced that the French submarine Bevezers torpedoed H.M.S. Resolution, which withdrew, listing, without firing. The Richelieu fired its 14-inch guns, hitting H.M.S. Barham. French planes shot down a British ’plane which was spotting for the naval guns. The British warships left Dakar at. 5.30 p.m. on Wednesday.
