THEFT OF JEWELLERY. CREYMOUTH SHOP’S LOSS. (Per Press Association GREYMOUTH, This Day. Watches and rings valued at between £250 and £3OO were stolen in a smash-and-grab raid at the jewellery store of Mr John Tennent, Mawhera Quay, early this morning. The show window was smashed sufficiently to allow the insertion of an arm to reach trays containing expensive wristlet watches and signet rings. Cheaper articles of jewellery in the window were not touched.
