SINGING OF METHODIST CHOIR. THE BAR TNG SQUARE CHURCH The good standard of singing of the Baring Square Methodist Church Choir which had earned favpurable comments from the minister, congregation and visitors was referred to in a report presented at the. annual meeting of the Choir. The Rev. A. Mcßean presided. Idle report stated thalt the membership had increased to 59. Special music and a number of concerts had been presented during the year. The financial statement showed a credit balance of £2 10s od'. The organ fund stoed* at £345 13s lid. The election of officers resulted: — President-, Rev. A. Meßean; choir master, Mr H. A. Humphreys; secretary and treasurer, Mr C. Bishop; librarians, Misses D. Rookei and J. Dolphin ; committee, Mesdames A. Mcßean and L. Stone, Miss 0. Watts, Messrs W. H. Higgins, R. Wishart, and N. J. Hosking; organist, Miss R. Porter; social committee, Misses H. Penman, I. Moses, M. Money, L. McNiecL Messrs W. T. Corbett, L. Stone, A. Chapman, A. Wilson; organ fund committee, Mesdames A. Black, B. Dabbie, L. Hopkins, A. P. Warriner, J. R. McLeod, L. Stone, Miss (Porter, Messrs W. !H. Higgins, H. A. Humphreys, O. Bishop; auditor, Mr K. G. Fowke It was decided to send a letter of sympathy to M r R . Watts who. is .a patient at the Ashburton Public Hospital. At the conclusion of thei meeting the ladies provided supper.
