SITTINGS NEXT WEEK.

(Per Press Association'.. AUCKLAND, July 31. The newly-appointed Aliens Tribunal of which Mr Justice Callan is president, will begin its business in Wellington next week. The. other two members are Messrs O. H. Weston, K.O, and J. H. Collins, of Wellington, and his Honour will leave Auckland on Sunday night to join them. The duty of the Tribunal, which has been set up under the Aliens Control Emergency Regulations. is to inquire into the bona. Ikies of all enemy aliens and to advise the Minister of Justice as to which of them should be imposed. There are known to be. upward of 1500 enemy aliens in the Dominion, and it is anticipated that the work of the tribunal, which will sit in various centres, will occupy some months.
