AUSTRALIAN! JOCKEYS’ TITLE. (Received This Bay, 12.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. W. Cook won the jockeys’ premiership for the racing year, concluded yesterday, with 123 firsts and three deadheats. Then followed McMenamin, 115' wins and two dead-heats; J. Duncan 81 and three dead-heats; D. Munro 81 and .three dead-heats. McOarten was sixth with 43 wins and two dead-heats, and Bartl© eleventh with 32 wins and one dead-heat. A. Papaworth headed the trainers list with 34 wins and one dead-heat. B. Payton won most prize money with a total of £14,410. The figures of both Cook and McMenamin exceeded the previous best total. A report from Melbourne states that the Victorian jockeys’- premiership, based on metropolitan meetings only, resulted: H. Badger 52 wins, A. Dewhurst 36 and J. Parted 33. J. Murphy led the trainers with 27 wins.
