FARMERS FINED.
LAND NOT CULTIVATED. FORTY-NINE PAY £1477. (Received This Day, 9.10 a.m.) LONDON, July 31. The Ministry of Agriculture states that since the outbreak of war to last Sunday, 49 farmers have been prosecuted for disobeying orders to cultivate land. The fines totalled £1477.
