TOWN BOARD BY-ELECTBON

MR A. B. SIMPSON SUCCESSFUL

The polling in the Tinwald Town Board by-election yesterday resulted in Mr A. B. Simpson being elected to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of LVtr P. P. Frew.

Mr Simpson polled 90 votes and Mr H. A. Mclnnes polled 81. The roll of electors included 413 names and there were 13 electors who voted by declaration. Only 171 people voted. The chocking of the votes east and the declaration votes was carried out by the Returning Officer (Mr J. B. Nicoll) this morning, and lie announced the result as stated above.
