MAYFIELD GIRLS’ MEETING The monthly meeting of the Mayfield Girls’ Friendly Society was held on Wednesday afternoon, when the leader (Miss E. Goldsmith) presided over a good attendance. A letter was received from Mrs Anderson, of Christchurch, in connection with work for lepers. It was decided to make a donation to the fund. Sewing for the Boys’ Orphanage at Timaru, was done during the afternoon. The meeting closed after afternoon tea had been served. A short service was held in the church, with prayers for intercession and peace, the service being conducted by the Rev. H. G. Norris. >
