LADIES’ GUILD.

METHVEN METHODISTS MEET. The June meeting of the Methvcn Methodist Ladies’ Guild was held at the homo of Mrs H. G. Ayers, the president (Mrs E. A. Mangin) presiding over a good attendance. After a short business meeting a social afternoon in aid of the Red Cross funds was held, an enjoyable time being spent in games and competitions. A charade acted by members caused much amusement. Prizes were won by Mesdamcs Guthrie and Paddy and Miss Adams. The president thanked all who had assisted. As a result of the afternoon £2 was handed to the local subcentre of the Red Cross Society.
