RUMANIA YIELDS TO RUSSIA. * BESSARABIA AND BUKOVINA. DECISION BY GRAND COUNCIL. (Received This Day, 9.5 a.m.) LONDON, June 27. It is officially reported from Bucharest that Rumania has accepted tho Soviet ultimatum for the cession of Bessarabia and Northern Bukovina. Another report states that Rumania decided to yield, but pleaded for time, and ordered precautionary mobilisation. ■ v’ The Bucharest correspondent of the Associated Press of America reports that the Rumanian Grand Council has decided to accede to the Soviet ultimatum, which is reported to expire at 8 p.m. to-day. ' Tho Associated Press reported from Cornaiuti that four Russian ’planes were fired on, one being shot down. Others bombed a village. RUSSIAN TROOPS ON MARCH.
ENTERING INTO BESSARABIA. <* —-»• RUMANIANS CONCENTRATING. (Received This Day, 10.55 a.m.) LONDON, June 27. A Budapest message states that the Hungarian Cabinet is discussing the events in Rumania, Russian troops are matching into Bessarabia after Rumania’s acceptance of the Soviet ultimatum. The Bucharest correspondent of the Associated Press says it is officially learned that the Rumanian Army is concentrating on Transylvania, near the Hungarian frontier.
SOVIET CONCENTRATIONS.
DEMAND FOR CONTROL OF PORTS DOMINATION OF THE DANUBE., (Received This Day, 10.55 a.m.) LONDON, June 27. The Bucharest correspondent of the Associated Press states that foreign military attaches received reports that huge squadrons of Russian warplanes flew over Bessarabia and Bukowina. There are heavy concentrations of Russian troops, including tanks and artillery, along the Dniester River and tho old Polish-Rumaniani frontier. The Rumanian War Ministry issued an order tantamount to general mobilisation. It is learned that Russia also demanded control of the ports of Galati and Braila, which would permit Russia to dominate navigation of the Danube. Berlin sources declare that Germany is “disinterested in the situation.”
GERMAN REPORT OF DEMANDS.
ALL UKRAINIAN DISTRICTS. CONTROL OF CONSTANZA. (Received This Day, 1.0.45 a.m.) BERLIN, Juno 27. The German wireless stated that Russia gave Rumania until .10 p.m. to agree to give np all Rumanian territory which is mainly inhabited by Ukrainians, as wpll as the control of Constanza, on tho Black Sea, and the Danubian port of Culcca.
