WOMEN’S INSTITUTE.
THE WAKANUI BRANCH. The monthly meeting of the Wakanui Women’s Institute was well attended, the vice-president (Mrs W. Hendrie) presiding. Mesdames Mcßae Constable and Breeze were welcomed. (Mrs Mcllae gave an interesting address. Mrs Constable also spoke and presented the prizes won in competitions during the year as follows, most points: Mrs Watson 1, Mrs Ford 2. Cooking, and preserves, Mrs Watson; needlework and arts and crafts', Miss Protheroe; flowers and vegetables, Mrs Ford. It was decided to hold the seventh birthday party at the next monthly meeting. • The hostesses were Mesdames G. Brand and A. Ford.
