MOVEMENTS HARASSED
BOMBING OF THE ENEMY. TfclE R.A.F. CONTINUES RAIDS. (Received This Day, 10.40 a.m.) ‘ LONDON, June 12. The Air Ministry communique states : “During yesterday* medium bombers of the Royai Air Force made repeated attacks on onemy motor transport, columns, armoured fighting vehicles and troop concentrations in the loops of the Seine, east of Rouen and adjacent to the ,wooded, areas. The enemy’s movements were harassed both by bombing and low-flying machine r gun attacks. In the course of these operations two enemy fighters were shot down and four of our aircraft are missing.
“The night, operations included the bombing of key points such as railway junctions and ammunition dumps in the rear of the fighting zones, from the sea to the Meuse. Enemy concentrations in the neighbourhood of the Seine were again bombed. The crossings of the Somme suffered' further damage and the woods wore set on fire in the'Hir-son-Givet area. Other aircraft attacked military objectives at Cologne and elsewhere in Western Germany. ;
“One of our heavy bombers is missing from operations in .Northern Italy. “Qur fighters were active over France yesterday. At least eight enemy- aircraft Yvore destroyed. One of our fighters is missing.”
