CHEST HOSPITAL.
ERECTION AT AUCKLAND. (Per- Press Association). AUCKLAND, June 1. The erection of a chest hospital containing 2000 beds on a site at the Auckland Infirmary, F,psom, is to hi* «carried out immediately by the Auckland Hospital Board. This unit, which is designed to meet the demands oi soldiers returning from active serv !^’. ‘ n well as civilian need, is m additwn to the chronic hospital block shortly to be constructed. . , The decision was made at a specia meeting of the board. Both board and departmental representatives agreed that in view of the present emergency, the chest hospital proposals should brought to immediate fruition.
