ADJUSTMENT OF WAGES ISSUE. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, June 2. Although all industrial laws may now be amended under the powers given by the Emergency Regulations Amendment Act, passed on Friday, the application by the Federation ol Labour to the Arbitration Court to adjust wages to meet the increased cost of livin'-' will be proceeded with. The intention of the Government at present in no way to offer any obstruction to the application; was stated in an interview by the Minister for Labour (the Hon. P. C. Webb). “Wo have no thought of obstructing the hearing under new legislation,” said Mr Webb. “It has to he remembered; however, that every day determines a new policy.”
