ARMS FACTORIES IN BRITAIN. “TWENTY-FOUR HOURS A DAY.” x (Received This Day, 11 a.m). 1 / LONDON, June 2. The King fired 60 rounds from *a Bren gun during a- visit to an arms factory, where lie saw the -employees working on Sunday, The King asked whether, they were working at full pressure, and a- workman replied “twenty-four hours daily.” The Minister for Supply (Mr Herbert Morrison), who accompanied the King, said that the factories wore reporting most encouragingly on the response to the appeal for a big increase in production.
