ANNUAL CONCERT.

METHVEN CONVENT SCHOOL. The annual concert of the Methvon Convent School was held in the Town Hall, on Friday evening, and was a great success. The items were contributed by tho pupils with, the addition of visiting artists. ' Tho programme was as follows: — Opening chorus, “Harp of My Country,” singing class; violin selection, “Serenade,” Misses Jean Campion and Bene Richards and Masters M. Kennedy and A. Dickson; action song, “What Do You Think of Your Bonnett,” by small girls; play, “Miss Priscilla Goes Modern,” Misses Pauline McKendry, Mario Poff, Joan Brick and Paulino Hyland; action song, “When the Band Begins to Play,” hoys; song, “Irish Mother of 'Mine, Ur'W. Wills / action song, “Gleaners,” pupils; song, Mrs Yvonne Wright; violin duet, “Gavotte,” Misses Campion and Richards; song, Mr Tom Clarke; humorous item, Messrs McMullan Bros.; bagpipes selection, Masters \. Gray and B. McKay; Irish jig, Mrs C (Thomson and Misses Irene M.cKendry ,Edith and. Irene Brown; song, Mr ,Gallagher; humorous.'item, Messrs M ills. At the conclusion of tho concei t a dance was -held, music being played by Cook’s Orchestra.
