MISSION WORK.
“NO RETRENCHMENT FUND.” At a meeting of the Ashburton Presbyterial Association, held in St. Andrew’s Hall recently, a letter was read from the executive in Auckland, explaining that the fund for mission deficit is to be named “no retrenchment fund,” and delegates from the various branches outlined plans formed' to raise Ashburton’s quota of the £I6OO promised at tho Presbyterian Women’s Missionary Union conference, held in Christchurch in November. Mrs W. Millar, Tinwald, was appointed literature secretary for the Ashburton Presbyterial Association. Mrs Watson gave an interesting talk on the missionary work of the church at home and abroad.
