ACCIDENTS & DEATHS.
DRIVER KILLED. (Per Press Association). WANGANUI, March 17. When the motor-car of which he was the driver capsized at Patea oh Saturday morning, Maurice Signal, aged 18, of Wanganui, received injuries from which lie died three hours later in the Patea Hospital. Four other occupants of the car escaped without injury. Signal, who was a member of the Union Boat Club, was travelling with his companions to Waitara for the annual rowing regatta in that centre. FATAL INJURIES. AUCKLAND, March 17. Thrown out of a motor-car when it overturned on the main road just north of Pokcno on Saturday night, a passenger received injuries from which he died a short time after the accident. The victim was Richard Edward Ayers, aged 54 years, single, a labourer, of Otahulm.
INJURIES PROVE FATAL., NELSON, This Day. Admitted to the public hospital on Friday night in a critical condition at a result of grqye injuries caused when liis motor-cycle collided with a telegraph pole in Brook Street, a. soldier, Private Patrick Wentworth Linton, died on Saturday. His parents reside in Nelson. . •
