MT SOMERS VESTRY.

“WORKING BEE” FOR PAINTING. . The Vicar (the Rev. H. G. Norris) presided at the quarterly meeting of the Mount Somers parochial vestry, when it was arranged to hold a working bee after the harvest, to paint the Vicarage, St. Aidan’s Church and the parish room, paint for the- church being provided by the Ladies’ Guild. Repairs and renovations to the interior of the Vicarage were held •over pending an estimate of the cost being obtained. It was reported that the cleaning up of the vicarage and church grounds had been effected by unemployed under Scheme 13.

’The Vicar reported that about £l4 bad been Collected for the first qpolling of the Mission boxes which had been distributed recently.

The proceeds of the Mount Somers and 'Mayfield concerts, amounting to about .£2O, were earmarked for repairs to the Vicarage.

It was decided to hold a meeting of parishioners next week to make preliminary arrangements for a church fair.
