RATIONS DROPPED
THE “FLYING DOCTOR” FOUND LOCATED IN FLOODED COUNTRY APPARENTLY NOT HURT. United Press Association — Copyright.) BRISBANE. January 12, Air searchers have found the overdue “Flying Doctor” (Dr. G. t\. Alberrv) and his pilot companion (Mr K. C. Berry) apparently unhurt. Their aeroplane appeared not to he damaged. Rations were dropped.
RESCUE PARTY SETS OUT. (Received This Dav, 12.10 p.m.) BRISBANE, This Day. The “Flying Doctor” and pilot were found 20 miles from Gregory Downs in flooded 1 country. Food and- brandy were dropped by parachute, also a note informing the stranded men of the position of a homestead eight miles away. Dr. Alberry and Mr Berry ran to pick up the provisions, indicating they were not hurt. A rescue party set out from Gregory Downs by car, hut owing to the floods had to abandon the car after travelling eight miles. They then continued on horseback. The rescuers may reach the two men to-day.
