TYPHOON RAGES.
DESTRUCTION IN PHILIPPINES. LOSS OF LIFE REPORTED. (United Press Association—Copyright.) MANILA, December 4. A typhoon which is approaching is declared to be the worst since 1908. It has already ravaged five islands to the south-west and isolated seven provinces and many towns. The destruction of communications prevents obtaining information of the damage and loss of life. Doctors and food have been sent- to Samar Province. United States warships at Manila have moved to a safer anchorage.
