CREW LANDED IN SCOTLAND. ’ t . FOURTEEN HOURS IN BOOTS. (Received This ©ay, 10.25 a.m.) LONDQN, December 4. The British ship Bskdene has been sunk by a mine. The crew of 25 has landed at a Scottish port. The crew of the Eskdene rowed! for 14 hours in an open boat. The boatswain was torpedoed five times in the last war. The captain returned to the charthouse after the explosion. The lights had failed and he struck matches to ascertain his position, which he wirelessed with the ISOS. On the outbreak of war the Eskdene was ordered back to Murmansk. She carried timber.
