BRITISH SUBMARINE DAMAGED. SHELLING AT STAVANGER. (Received This Day, 11.50 a.m.) LONDON, December J. An Admiralty spokesman revealed that a British submarine - that- is sheltering at Stavanger (Norway) was dam aged by a storm and not by enemy action. The spokesman denies that any action took place between ■ Warships and aircraft, as reported' from Oslo. He states that the warships which brought the submarine into Stavanger left Norwegian waters immediately. The submarine’s rudder was damaged and she! was'helpless. ' ' df.yr
