HANKO BOMBARDED.
BOMBS ON MODERN HARBOUR. ENTIRE TOWN ON FIRE. (Received This Day, 9.55 a.m.) COPENHAGEN, December 1. Three Russian warships bombarded Hanko Island all this morning. The entire population were huddled in shelters for hours, but the fortress apparently was not damaged. The. modern Finnish harbour of Liinehamari, the terminus, of the Baltic to Arctic Road, was bombed. The entire town is aflame. Two hundred refugees from the town entered Norway. The Finns are reported to be holding out at the Karelian Isthmus. They wrecked numerous Russian tanks.
