INVESTMENTS IN SMALL SUMS. OVER- £9,000.000 IN A WEEK. (United Press Association—Copyright.} (Received This Day, 11.15 aim.) LONDON-, December 1. During the first week of the war finance campaign 5,500,000 savings certificates, representing a cash investment of £4,125,000 and defence bonds valued at £5,000,000, were sold. The average weekly sales of certificates during the three months preceding the opening of the campaign were approximately 459,000. . The number of national sayings groups formed or in process of formation during the week was 1226. The total for the whole of last year was 1527. British Official Wireless. '
