BEQUESTS FROM AN ESTTATE. (Special to the “ Guardian.”) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Determination of the rights of beneficaries in an estate the circumstance of which has altered considerably since the death of the testatrix, was sought in the Supreme court yesterday before Air Justice Northcroft. The estate concerned was that of Phoebe Elizabeth Breach, a married woman, who lived at Methven. The matter was brought before the Court by the Public- Trustee, for whom Mr K. M. Gresson appeared. Eighteen beneficiaries were named. For the widower, William George Breach, farmer, ol Methven, Air A. C. Perry appeared. For a daughter, Airs AVilhelmina Elizabeth Jane Ruddock Kennish, of Methven, Dr. A. L. Hnslam appeared; and for three other daughters, Airs Enid Annie Grange Ruddenklau, of Rakaia, 'Airs Doris Phoebe Wilson, of Methven, and Airs Evelyn Susannah AYeily,' Air R. J. Loughnan appeared. 'Air Gresson said that the testatrix died in 1927. At her death the assets were about £16,000, including a farm, and liabilities were about £II,OOO. The farm had since been unable to meet all the provisions of the will, and this action was brought to determine the position of the various beneficiaries. His Honor reserved his decision.
